| Six question competition
open to all math team members. One Tuesday each month, from
October to April - please attend.

| Central Jersey Math League |
| Ten question,
1 hour competition for away team members. One Wednesday each
month, from September to April. Students who do well and attend
enough meets will be eligible to attend ARML, a national convention
in which the Central Jersey Math League competes.

October 6, 2004: Hillsborough HS
November 17, 2004: North Brunswick HS
December 15, 2004: South Brunswick HS
Janurary 12, 2005: Union County Magnet HS

| AMC/AIME |
| A 25 question,
75 minute contest held in February for all high school students.
AMC 10 is for students in grades 10 and under, while the AMC
12 is for everyone. 10th graders may take both AMC's.
Through the AMC's, students who attain a certain score will
be eligible to take the AIME, a 15 question, 3 hour long contest.
Their cumulative scores from the AMC and the AIME can qualify
them to take the USAMO (6 proof/essay questions over 2 days,
totaling 9 hours), which can then lead to the summer program
MOSP for the top 24 students in the nation. Finally, the top
6 students at MOSP will be sent to the IMO (International
Math Olympiad), which will be held in Mexico for 2005.

February 1, 2005: AMC12
March 8, 2005: AIME

| Mandelbrot Competition |
| A contest held
four times a year. There is a 7 question individual test taken
by all members and a team test taken by a chosen team of four.
Both tests are forty minutes long and involve short answer
and proof-style questions. Teams are entered in either the
regional level, for less experienced students, or the national
level, for more advanced students.
Test dates are:
Week of October 18: Round 1
Week of November 29: Round 2
Week of January 24: Round 3 (this will be rescheduled)
Week of March 14: Round 4

| Harvard - MIT Math Tournament |
| A contest held
annually in March at either Harvard or MIT. Teams of 8 compete
in individual rounds, a team round, a GUTS round, and numerous
mini-events. In the individual round, each student elects
to take a General Test or two of the four available subject
tests (Calculus, Combinatorics, Geometry, Algebra)

| USAMTS |
| A contest sponsored
by the Art of Problem Solving to challenge your math skills.
Problem sets of five are posted online four times a year,
and answers must be mailed in.
- NOTE: watch out! the post office is closed on Sundays!!

You may use any reference materials you can find, but obtaining
help from others is strictly prohibited. Top scorers receive
a certificate and book.
The first set of problems is due October 4. Please remember
to follow the correct format and include the entry form &
cover sheet.
